Bell + Whete is a modern restaurant inspired by the influences of the Normans. House made sausages and breads, and unique cuts of meat are a large part of what we do. This is a clean, organized, and technique driven kitchen run by a passionate and knowledgeable crew. Bell + Whete is open seven days a week serving brunch and dinner.
We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications, set up stations and execute menu without difficulty . The successful candidate will be considered a Tournant, where the candidate will be expected to know and execute grill, pantry, sauté/expo stations as scheduled. Also, candidate is expected to execute PDR events up to 30 people with minimal assistance.

Set up and stock stations with all necessary mise en place
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Help maintain kitchen and walk in cleanliness and organization
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Proven cooking experience
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Able to work with and have ease of measurement conversion.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices and valid Washington Food Handler’s Card.
